DELINQUENT’s PLAYERS



Shawn Batten as Tracy DeLors SHAWN BATTEN (headstrong heroine "Tracy DeLors") played "Natalia" in MTV's Spyder Games, a modern whodunit, soap-style.  Shawn began with an acting degree from Syracuse U, backed with further training at North Carolina School of the Arts, Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, and the Atlantic Theatre Company. This bicoastal thespian appeared as "Cousin Abigail" in Quiz Show and starred in One Dog Day, Nocturn Of Events, and Boom.  Shawn has appeared on Beverly Hills 90210 and Apt. 2F and played the scandalous "Sara Cummings" on Sunset Beach. 
BEYOND FILMS, LTD.is a Sydney, Australia-based global sales company with offices in LA and London. Beyond is best known in the US as the company that sold Love Serenade, Strictly Ballroom, Children Of The Revolution , Love & Other Catastrophes, and Kiss Or Kill to top American distributors. Delinquent was Beyond’s first US theatrical release, followed by James Merendino's SLC Punk, a Beyond Films production that premiered at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival.

TODD CROCKETT (Director of Photography and Artistic Conscience) caught director Peter Christian Hall’s eye with his work on John Feldman's Alligator Eyes (First Jury Prize at the San Sebastian Film Festival). An ambitious painter and student of light, Todd lit much of Delinquent in the style of Jan Vermeer.
 
DESMOND DEVENISH ("Tim") raced out of high school to star as Delinquent’s tormented protagonist, a role he inexorably seized in a series of auditions. Legend has it that Mr. Devenish (yes, it’s his real name) was spotted by a talent manager in his Bronx high school lobby.  Not long afterward, Desmond was making his Broadway debut in On The Waterfront. Ian Eaton as Eddie IAN EATON ("Eddie") first performed at the age of six at Harlem School of the Arts, where he studied violin, creative writing, and drama. A graduate of LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, Ian completed theater studies at City College. 
MAUREEN FREMONT (Casting) is a Manhattan-based theatrical and film casting director who discovered Uma Thurman for Kiss Daddy Goodnight and has cast the likes of Sam Jackson, Denzel Washington, Willem Dafoe, David Strathairn, and Giancarlo Esposito in a variety of feature films. For TV, Maureen cast three seasons of Days And Nights Of Molly Dodd; ABC's Debbie Allen Special; and Simple Justice, a PBS feature.

BARBARA GOGAN (Song: The Perfect Bride ) is a Dublin-born, New York-based singer/songwriter best known for I’m In Love With A German Film Star, one of several Euro-hits she performed in the 1980s with the London-based PASSIONS. She joined John Cale, Gerard Depardieu, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Cheb Khaled and others on Hector Zazou's Sahara Blue (Tristar Music), a musical anthology of Arthur Rimbaud poems. ELI M. KABILLIO (Associate Producer and Legal Counsel) is an extremely busy documentary and advertising director and producer winning awards for himself and his company: Mad Dog Films, Inc.
 
Jeff Paul as Ben JEFF PAUL ("Ben") is remembered by millions as the biker who shot “Flyboy” in one of director Peter Christian Hall's favorite films - George Romero's Dawn Of The Dead. The sweet-tempered Pittsburgh native’s most recent starring roles came in James Daugherty's Ozone ; Kevin McCarthy’s The Rouge Shoes; and Eric Marciano’s Narrowcast. Jeff featured in David Sporn's The Road From Erebus and in Jennifer Elster's Down.
KEITH REAMER (Consulting Editor) edited Mary Herron’s I Shot Andy Warhol; George Miller’s Robinson Crusoe; Eric Bross’s Nothing To Lose and Restaurant; John Johnson's Ratchet; and Maggie Greenwald’s Ballad Of Little Jo; and Bill Roth’s Floating.  He contributed some additional editing to Nancy Savoca's 24-Hour Woman. And he edited Tony Bui's Three Seasons , which won the 1999 Sundance Film Festival's prizes for Best Dramatic Feature, Best Cinematography, and the Audience Award.

TC RICE (Delinquent's distributor) started out selling popcorn to Seattle moviegoers and went on to work in distribution for Samuel Goldwyn, Hemdale, Four Seasons, and Aries Film Releasing. TC was responsible for marketing and distributing Bad Lieutenant; Rosalie Goes Shopping; The Whistle Blower; Romero;Lovers; The Secret Life Of Dentists; and Enigma, among others.
MARISA TOWNSHEND/MALONE ("Mrs. Richman" and Associate Producer) graduated from Stella Adler Conservatory. As Marisa Malone, she starred in Eugene Garcia’s Burnt Eden (as “Marisa”), which won the $10,000 Prix Telefilm Canada for Best Canadian Feature at Montreal’s International Festival of Cinema and New Media.  Marisa also starred in Garcia's Bone and Bashar Shbib’s Taxi To LA..  Marisa Townshend as Mrs. Richman
THOM ZIMNY (Editor) is a South New Jersey native who edited Eric Schaeffer’s Fall, as well as Tanya Wexler’s Finding North and Kyle Boyd’s Life Matters. He then went on to do a lot of work with a certain NJ rocker. Zimny won an Emmy in 2001 for his editing on Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band: Live in New York City and shared a Grammy with Springsteen in 2007 for their work on Wings of Wheels: The Making of Born to Run. Thom was also nominated for two Emmys in 2003 for Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band.
