DELINQUENT's score is the first full-
    length feature soundtrack from GANG
OF FOUR and founding members Andy
Gill and Jon King. From ENTERTAIN-
MENT!, their first LP (acclaimed by
Rolling Stone as one of the 100 best
albums of the Eighties), GANG OF
    FOUR has influenced virtually everyone
in rock, whether or not some of their more
    successful disciples admit it.

Led by King and Gill through various lineups, GANG OF FOUR have released seven original LPs and two anthologies.  A COMPLETE HISTORY OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY (Warner), includes two songs banned from British radio during the wars and riots of the '80s - I LOVE A MAN IN A UNIFORM and TO HELL WITH POVERTY.  Henry Rollins' and Rick Rubin's Infinite Zero Records has reissued GANG OF FOUR’s original Warner recordings on disc.

Late in 1998, Rhino released GANG OF FOUR: 100 FLOWERS BLOOM, a massive compilation of old and recent hits, including live versions and studio remixes. Said The Village Voice's Robert Christgau: "...Establishes new interconnections - the concert versions and studio remixes hold songs you know up to the light, and mixed in among the old electrofunk adventures their recent techno moves sound principled and in character.  Gof4's radical critique/embrace of commodification remains a truth, not the whole truth, so help me, God.  But it sure hasn't lost relevance.  And when their albums do come back whole, as commodification makes inevitable, this version of their vision will still get in your face." RATED: "A"

Gill scored Derek Jarman's THE LAST OF ENGLAND and several BBC documentaries. He has spent many years producing the work of a variety of bands and artists; for more on Gill's myriad activities, visit Gill Music ! King wrote music for Jacques Zanetti's NUITS BLANCHES, among others.

Gill and King volunteered to score DELINQUENT when director Peter Christian Hall - who met them years ago when he interviewed them for a story that was never published - sent them an early draft of the script for their literary and artistic response. “I was sort of hoping they’d let me have a song or two,” Hall confesses, “but they offered to write the entire score. Jon even came up with a cool idea on how I could heighten one scene.” Gill was no less pleased when Hall requested that he cut loose and crank up his legendary guitar: “That was the first time a film director said that to me.”

Much of DELINQUENT's score is available on GANG OF FOUR's (Castle/Alliance) CD, SHRINKWRAPPED, which includes IPARADE MYSELF; SHOWTIME, VALENTINE; and TATTOO, and some of it appears on Rhino's GANG OF FOUR: 100 FLOWERS BLOOM.

In 2005 Gang Of Four reunited.  Gill and King joined up with the band's original, legendary rhythm section--drummer Hugo Burnham and bass player Dave Allen--for what turned into a World Tour!
